We look forward to welcoming you to Dripsey Castle Estate. When you make a booking with us, you are entering into an agreement with a private estate residence. We kindly ask that you read our terms and conditions carefully.
Arrival & Departure
Check-in is available from 3.00pm on the day of arrival. We ask that the property is vacated by 11.00am on the morning of departure unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Reservations
To confirm a reservation, a deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due four weeks prior to arrival unless otherwise agreed. Please ensure you review our cancellation policy before making your reservation.
Cancellations by the Guest
As a private hire estate, cancellations have a significant impact, particularly where we have declined other enquiries for the same dates. While we understand unforeseen circumstances can arise, our cancellation terms are as follows:
Cancellations made up to 8 weeks prior to the arrival date will receive a refund of payments made, less a 10% administrative fee.
Cancellations made within 8 weeks of the arrival date are non-refundable, and you will be liable for the full booking amount.
For accommodation-only bookings made directly with us (not via third-party platforms), cancellations made up to 14 days prior to arrival will receive a refund less of 50% total stay. Within 14 days, the full balance is due.
No-shows or early departures are charged in full.
Bookings made through third-party platforms are subject to the cancellation policies of those platforms.
Private Events
For weddings, retreats, family gatherings, workshops, and other private hire events, cancellation is required no later than 8 weeks prior to arrival. Within 8 weeks, the full booking fee will apply.
Cancellations by Us
In the unlikely event that Dripsey Castle Estate must cancel your booking, we will notify you immediately. Any payments made will be refunded in full, and we will do our best to recommend alternative venues locally. Our liability does not extend beyond these conditions.
Payment
Deposits and balances can be made via bank transfer, debit/credit card, or other approved payment methods. Full payment must be received prior to arrival.
Parking
Parking is available on the gated estate grounds. Vehicles are left at the owner’s risk.
Damage & Breakages
We kindly ask that you take care of the Manor House, gardens, and contents. Any damage, breakage, or excessive cleaning requirements will be charged to the guest or event organiser. Please notify us immediately of any incidents to allow us to address them quickly.
Fake tan, candles, and confetti are not permitted inside the property, as they cause permanent damage to furnishings and finishes. Linens, towels, or soft furnishings damaged in this way will be charged for at replacement value, and specialist cleaning costs may also apply as per damage policy
Health, Safety & Behaviour
We have a zero-tolerance policy for illegal activities, vandalism, or antisocial behaviour. Excessive alcohol consumption, drug use, or abusive behaviour towards staff or contractors will result in immediate removal from the estate without refund.
As Dripsey Castle Estate is both a private residence and historic property, we ask all guests to behave respectfully towards the house, grounds, staff, and neighbours. We accept no liability for injuries, loss, or damage sustained before, during, or after your stay.
Data Protection
Personal information collected during your booking may be held securely on file. With your permission, we may contact you in the future with news or special offers. Please let us know if you do not wish to receive such communications.
Keys
Keys or access codes will be provided on arrival. Guests are responsible for them during their stay. Lost keys will be charged at €50 per set.
Lost & Missing Items
We are happy to return items left behind after departure. A minimum charge of €20 will apply for postage and packaging. We reserve the right to apply charges for any items missing from the estate following your stay or event.
Prices
We reserve the right to amend our prices at any time. This does not affect confirmed bookings already made and paid for.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted inside the Manor House or guest rooms. Designated outdoor smoking areas are available; please request an ashtray to avoid littering cigarette waste in the gardens.
